How to Use PC Suite Customize your iPhone Theme

tags: iPhone Discussion How to Use PC Suite Customize your iPhone Theme

PC Suite could easily install beatiful themes on your  iPhone & iPod touch by install Winterboard , however, guys will find it's not the same as before  these days, after you cilick "themes"

You will see a popup in Chinese to let you install themes, after click "Install" button, and your iPhone will be installed Pandhome for iPhone, then you can install and change theme normally in PC Suite, but if you find you can't install Pandahome for iPhone normally,  you need this Temporary Guide.

Step 1

Download the theme you want from Download center

Step 2

After Download a theme (with Zip file), unzip it to get an theme file

Step 3

Drag the theme file to "/Library/Themes" on Your iPhone via "Files" function in your PC Suite

Step 4

Go to your iPhone Setting  find Winterboard at the botton, select the theme you want.

Old Guide is Here

Updated: winterboard (support iOS4) Download is Here

After you jailbreak your phone, you will want to explore all the new things it can do. Using PC Suite and  Winterboard is one of my favorite things about my jailbroken iPhone. Its great to be able to customize the look and feel of my phone. With winterboard you can change backrounds, icons, sounds, lock screens, and much more. Follow these easy steps to use winterboard on your phone.
Step1
To use winterboard you phone must be jailbroken. Here is  a link at the bottom to walk you through jailbreaking your iPhone if you do not already have this done.
Jailbreak & Unlock iPhone 3G/3GS 3.1.2

Step2: install winterboard

Connect PC Suite and open theme in Media (like the following pic)

and if you did not install the winterboard before the pc suite will automaticly turn the interface into "Apps" in PC Suite(as pic)

and pc suite will automaticly install the winterboad for you, all you need to do is 'click install'
Second  Solution:
Download the winterboard (support iOS4) here install it via pc suite.

Step3

After installation you can start to customize your iPhone theme you want, you can download the theme from the Download centre theme catalog get the theme what you want. Unzip the theme zip and remember where the theme files are.

Step4
when you get the iphone themes you want, let's decorate your iphone, make it different and be your own style

Open Media's theme in PC suite

and we will get this "Web Themes"interface, for some reason, the Chinese still stand there.

If these Chinese bother you a lot, We just skip it, let's move to "iPhone Themes"

Click "Add Theme"

Then Confirm the theme, the pc suite will install the into your iphone

At last choose the theme installed "Set as theme"

Notice: Sometime After you Click "Set as theme" and the iphone did not change anything, Don't  worry about it, you just can choose the theme you installed in the Winterboard on your iPhone, and press "Home" botton, Done
