iPhone Discussion top10 role playing games for iphone
RPG Games are quite prolific and there are a million of them on the app store. It may be hard to sift through them to find the best RPG games, so here is a list of my favorites.
1. Final Fantasy III
The DS remake of Final Fantasy III, released in 2006, made an excellent debut on iPhone and iPad, delivering high-resolution, 3D graphics blended with the original game’s tried-and-true play features, such as the ability to summon monsters and change character job classes. A bit pricey at $15.99, but worth the dough.
2.Order & Chaos Online
This game is the only available 3D massively multiplayer online role playing game.Order & Chaos Online features a fast open world with amazing graphics and design. Players can choose their characters from 4 different races and also control gender, appearance, skills and pretty much anything else having to do with their character. There are over 1000 skills that characters can learn and over 2000 pieces of equipment. The options within this game are truly endless and it features over 500 quests for players to complete.
The action/RPG is alive and well in Gamevil’s retro-flavored hack-and-slash adventure, complete with Super Nintendo-style graphics. Devastate the game’s many enemies with combo hits or wield different weapons. You can even challenge friends to some asynchronous online PvP, engaging in two-versus-two arena battles or settling the score one-on-one.
The fourth installment of this popular mobile RPG has already been released for iOS. It comes with six different character classes, a total of 90 skills, and one of the largest maps you will ever find on a smartphone role-playing game. In the meantime, Android users can check out Inotia 3 while waiting for the sequel to be released.
5.Chaos Rings II
We have to admit, Square Enix did an excellent job on the original Chaos Rings, an iOS exclusive RPG. Now the sequel’s here, and it’s without question a must play. Enjoy a tweaked battle system while determining the outcome of the game with each decision. Unlock hidden bosses, view multiple endings, and take in the gorgeous 3D graphics. Tell work you’ll be gone for a while. On second thought, why not play at work?
6.Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD
We’ve yet to hear word of The Elder Scrolls coming to iOS, but there’s always Aralon, AKA the next best thing. Embark on an epic 30-hour quest through a content-rich world, marveling at the dynamic 3D environments and day/night cycle. Take part in numerous quests, ride mounts, acquire pets, and customize your warrior’s hairstyle, armor, and face. Prepare to get sucked in for months.
7.Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
No iPhone or iPad video game collection is complete without this marvelous title that fuses old school adventuring with a wonderful soundtrack. Kill enemies with your warrior’s sword, solve musical mysteries, and take in the ‘80s graphics. It’s “Swo” sweet.
8.Dungeon Hunter 2
Battles in Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter 2 aren't slow turn-based affairs. In fact, they're quite the opposite. It's a good job you have plenty of weapons, armours, and magical abilities up your sleeve, then.
This action-RPG features a rather unique co-op feature, which allows you to play through the entire campaign alongside three of your sword-, axe-, and hammer-toting buddies.
When a mysterious girl disappears after stepping inside the Telepod, hero Crono goes on a timeless journey to rescue her, fighting monsters via dynamic battles that take place in the past and future. As a bonus, you’ll receive content previously exclusive to the DS version, The Dimensional Vortex and The Lost Sanctum.
The Quest uses old style graphics. The Quest uses a first-person perspective. It follows the basic RPG format of collecting items and using them as well as leveling up. It was one of the earliest RPG games to hit the iOS App Store.
