Custom Alert and Alarm Sounds for Windows Phone 7

We know that you could hack/get custom ringtones to your unlocked Windows Phone 7 device but it looks like folks over at XDA Developers figured out a way to also get custom Alert and Alarm sounds on HTC devices. Redmond seems to have overlooked this basic functionality and we hope it will be addressed in future updates.

The process is tricky, techy and rather long but for those out there who choose to disregard Microsoft's advice and consider the custom alerts and alarms worth it, you'll need several tools, including the ChevronWP7 Unlocker (pulled by the developer team) and the custom ringtone manager.
